Restoring Resilience: How H Fusion Welding Brought a Dock Ramp Back to Life
Share
When Hurricane Milton struck, the damage was widespread, affecting homes, boats, and waterfront structures all along Florida’s SunCoast. Among the damaged structures was a floating dock ramp that had been ripped clean off its seawall and torn in two. The owner of the dock was left with a tough decision: pay $1,100 for a replacement part with a 70-day wait or seek a faster, more cost-effective solution.
Enter H Fusion Welding.
With a commitment to quality craftsmanship and fast turnaround, I was able to take on this unique challenge. Rather than waiting over two months for a pricey manufacturer’s part, I fabricated a custom replacement from scratch. This wasn’t just a repair—it was an opportunity to make the piece stronger and safer than before. I added a durable diamond plate for a non-slip surface, ensuring the new ramp was as practical as it was robust.
The result? A restored dock ramp that was ready for use without the long wait or steep cost. This project is a testament to what custom welding and fabrication can accomplish: bringing life back to damaged structures while saving time and money.
